Sisters of St. Joseph and Associates Join Thousands in "Stand Up for All Children" at Boston March and Rally
On Thursday, August 7, 2014, eighteen Sisters of St. Joseph and Associates gathered with several hundred other concerned residents of Massachusetts to participate in the "Stand up for All Children" rally. It began with a gathering at Copley Square, followed by a march along Boylston Street, through the Common to the State House.
Our group carried our "Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston" banners and other signs which indicated our concern for the well-being of the thousands of children crossing our southern border as they flee from harm in Central America.
There was a great sense of reverence and comradery among the hundreds of participants at the rally. Many approached us CSJs with friendship and gratitude.
The sisters and associates who participated in this event were really energized to be a part of this march and to have had our CSJ public presence so warmly received.
