Begin an Associate Relationship

Come and See:
Gather with the CSJ Associates and Sisters for times of prayer, formal meetings, and activities of justice and peace so that you can come to know the rich spirit and spirituality of the community. Meet periodically with the Associate Director to share more deeply about these experiences.

Discernment Process:

Women and men begin a mentoring process with an Associate and a Sister of St. Joseph during which they learn the history, spirituality, mission, and minitries of the community. As the same time, they gather with the Associate Director to prayerfully and mutually discern next steps. This process is usually one year.

After engaging in the formal year of mentoring, the individual makes a formal request in writing to the President of the Congregation to become an Associate. This commitment is renewed annually and commits the individual to embrace the charism and actively engage in the mission of the Congregation.

 with the compassion of God, we Associates,
women and men of the Church,
rooted in the Gospel together with
the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston,
are impelled by the active,
inclusive love of God to:
deepen our relationship with God
and the dear neighbor without distinction;
foster prophetic communion;
and journey into the future
with Sisters of St. Joseph and Associates
throughout the world, and with all God’s creation.
